3. Use of Our Website

The content on this website is provided for general information only. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the information is accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, accurate, or current at all times.

  • to interfere with the security or operation of the website
  • to copy, reproduce, or exploit website content without our written permission

4. Bookings and Orders

A booking is only confirmed once we have accepted it and issued confirmation by email, telephone, message, or through our booking system.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the property address and contact details are correct
  • suitable access is available at the agreed date and time
  • all relevant appliances, flues, meters, and service points are accessible
  • the property is in a safe condition for our engineer to attend

We reserve the right to refuse, reschedule, or cancel a booking where necessary, including where information is incomplete, access is unavailable, payment fails, or the property is unsafe.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices shown or quoted are in Pounds Sterling (£).

Engineer App Ltd. is not VAT registered, so VAT is not charged on our services.

Prices are subject to change at any time, but changes will not affect any booking already confirmed.

Payment may be required:

  • at the time of booking
  • before attendance
  • on completion of the service
  • under agreed invoice terms

If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to charge interest and recovery costs where permitted by law.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must contact us as soon as possible.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing:

  • cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation or call-out fee of £35
  • if our engineer attends but cannot complete the visit for reasons outside our control, we may charge a failed attendance fee or additional visit fee

This includes situations such as:

  • no one being present to provide access
  • incorrect address details
  • appliances or pipework being inaccessible
  • unsafe conditions at the property
  • no gas or electricity supply
  • appliances not being in a testable condition

If access is being arranged by a tenant, occupier, letting agent, or third party, you remain responsible for ensuring access is available.

Appointments may be booked within time windows, including:

  • AM: 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • PM: 12:00pm to 5:00pm

Our engineer may arrive at any time within the booked appointment window.

8. Access and Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide safe and timely access to the property
  • ensure an adult is present where required
  • make appliances and inspection areas accessible
  • keep pets, hazards, and obstructions under control
  • provide accurate information about the property and its systems

We may refuse to carry out or continue work if health and safety concerns arise.

9. Inspection Results and Certification

Any inspection, certificate, or report is based on the condition of the property, appliances, and systems at the time of the visit.

We do not guarantee that:

  • a certificate will be issued in every case
  • an appliance will pass inspection
  • remedial works will not be required
  • a report outcome will meet your expectations

Where defects, faults, or safety issues are identified, these may be recorded in the relevant report or certificate, and remedial work may be required before certification can be issued.

10. Additional Work and Revisits

The price paid covers only the specific service booked.

Any additional work, including remedial work, repeat visits, further testing, waiting time, replacement parts, or return visits caused by lack of access or incomplete preparation, may be charged separately.

11. Refunds

Refunds are considered in line with your legal rights and our discretion.

A refund will not usually be given where:

  • our engineer attended but could not complete the work for reasons outside our control
  • the inspection identified defects that prevented a certificate from being issued
  • the booked service was carried out correctly

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
